Since the
wide spread global acceptance and usage of internet, malware programs,
spywares and viruses have become a constant source of threats for the
computers while only option available to the net surfers is anti virus
software programs.
Some of the most popular anti virus software applications are:
- Norton
- Avast
- McAfee
- AVG
- Microsoft
Antivirus software are available online
and as per prevalent global practices, they are, first of all offered
‘Free’, for the trial version, few days to the few months after which
the users are asked to pay for the services which is, normally, a
handsome amount to be payable in foreign currency.
Like the net surfer, I was very much
worried about the cyber interference of the antiviruses on my computers
though I tried many antivirus software but AVG appeared to be the best.
AVG suits my needs due to its free
edition but its actual paid version was a little costly. When I compared
the available components of Free AVG and AVG Internet Security,
following table appeared:

During the analysis period, one of my
friends came to my help and advised me to get the AVG Internet Security
with validity up to 2018 and after installation and activation, I found
that the code worked and I got the validation upto 2018.
- First of all you need the AVG free version or Internet Security 2011 trial version which you can download from here (www.avg.com)
- After installation, run AVG and go to help menu and click activate.
- In the pop-up menu, enter this code:

- Click ‘activate’
- Another dialog box will appear saying, “Your new AVG Software License gives you access to additional features. Do you want to install them?”, click ‘yes’
- Now the installation of new features will start and after the installation completes, run AVG and your Antivirus would be upgraded to ‘AVG Internet Security’ with validation upto 2018.

Some people complained about the above given code not working. Well! I downloaded a fresh cope of AVG Internet Security 2012 used the code provided above to activate the AVG and it worked.Here is a screenshot:
